I was on my second Karcher. The first broke and I threw it away, the second one also broke – this time the on/off switch and despite several repairs, it kept breaking, so I gave that away and got this Bosch instead. I’m so glad I did.
For a start, it is half the physical size of my old Karcher. But more importantly, it is also less than half the weight. The Karcher was really heavy and you had to wheel it around. It was too heavy to carry any distance. But this can be picked up and carried in one hand whilst using the lance in the other. The disadvantage of this weight saving is that if it is on the floor and you pull on the lance, you can pull it over – it has no weight to stop it from moving or falling over, but that is a minor gripe and it’s lightness is actually an advantage in my opinion………

UPDATE: Two years on and I have used the K4 for days on end without any issues. I had to buy another dirt blaster nozzle, but that was due to the amount of use it had! I think that this is a sturdy and reliable machine that is built to last.
My old power washer finally started to play up after many years of hard service. We have a very large patio area to power wash each year. We are surrounded by deciduous trees and the patio is always green and disgusting after the winter. My old machine was not a Karcher, but over the years I found myself using Karcher accessories for it as they were better in every way! This prompted me to go for a Karcher model. I’ve had several types of this product, and was on the fence about what to buy how much pressure I needed electric versus gas etc. I initially liked the Simpson washers by the picture but was concerned about some of the negative reviews. I also really wanted a Honda engine. These were the things that I was using as deciding points for getting a washer. I finally settled on this model and can tell you that it is built very well, after putting everything together and adding oil and gas, it started on the first pull and this is just great.
